May 6, 2010 National Emergency Grant for Oregon & Washington Cleanpak International, Inc.
Dear Oregon and Washington Staff:
Here is information about a National Emergency Grant (NEG) that is being awarded to the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development to serve about 80 workers affected by the closure of Cleanpak International, Inc. (Cleanpak), located in Clackamas. This project will provide these Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)-certified dislocated workers with access to “wrap-around” and supportive services that are not available through the TAA program.
Description of Oregon NEG
- DOL is granting funding in the amount of $459,844 to be funded by resources made available for NEGS under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) of 2009.
- The geographic areas covered by this funding are: The counties of Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington in Oregon; and Clark in Washington
- Project Operator: Workforce Investment Council of Clackamas County
