Equal Opportunity: Breaking Down Barriers

The 22nd Annual National Equal Opportunity Training Symposium builds on the success of the 2010 conference and is presented by the Civil Rights Center (CRC) in partnership with the Equal Opportunity Committee of the National Association of State Workforce Agencies, Inc. (NASWA), an organization of state administrators of programs and services provided through state workforce systems that receive public financial assistance, including Federal financial assistance.
The multi-day interactive and educational program features three plenary sessions and more than 30 workshops. This year, trainings at this year's conference will include such topics on writing final determinations, conducting investigations, ADAAA, transgender discrimination, violence against women in the workplace, Limited English Proficiency, as well as multiple workshops on disability law, and much, much more.
This year's highlights include a new specialty track designed specifically for advanced EO Officers in Job Corps, and Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice will deliver remarks on Thursday, September 1 at noon.
