Child labor issues need to be raised to a higher level on public and political agendas in order to promote action.  There is a lack of awareness of best practices used to eliminate the problem.

Project Objectives

Raise awareness of child labor issues among the U.S. public, U.S. government officials, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.

Summary of Activities

  • Discuss, publish, and disseminate case studies on best practices;
  • Conduct research and prepare written, photographic and electronic materials to promote discussion and knowledge sharing about best practices for eliminating child labor at the conference in May 2000 in Washington, DC.
