Problem to be Addressed |
The involvement of children in the drug trade, particularly amphetamines, appears to be increasing in Southeast Asia. Children are faced with physical, emotional, and psychological dangers from the trade. Once involved in the drug trade, they are subject to harassment by drug dealers and other hazards. This involvement often results in long-term antisocial and criminal behavior. |
Results |
The project withdrew 28 children and prevented 911 children from work in the sales, production, distribution, and trafficking of drugs, particularly amphetamines. |
