Problem to be Addressed	Increasing rates of infection among people in the 15-44 age group, which is the most skilled and economically active segment of the society. Fear, social stigmatization, and workplace discrimination are common and inhibit traditional prevention and education efforts from reducing the infection rate.
Targets	Ministry of Labor and other government agencies involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS Enterprises Employer Associations
Project Objectives	Reduced level of employment-related discrimination against persons living with HIV/AIDS, and Reduced HIV/AIDS Risk Behavior Among Targeted Workers
Summary of Activities	Work to develop innovative strategies for involving government, businesses, and relevant NGOs to promote and sustain workplace based HIV/AIDS prevention education programs. Develop and distribute to enterprises relevant information, education and communications materials. Conduct presentations, workshops and provide follow-up technical assistance for employers on how to implement workplace prevention programs. Work with local institutions to develop a cadre of trainers who can provide technical assistance to companies on workplace prevention programs. Evaluate, promote, and support successful and replicable projects that further development strategies.
