U.S. — Jordan Labor Cooperation

The United States and Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in December 2013 to better coordinate cooperative activities and to improve labor standards. The MOU is designed to complement the Free Trade Agreement signed in 2000 between the two countries and establish a labor cooperation mechanism. Areas of cooperation under the MOU include the fundamental rights of workers, employment services, labor law administration, labor inspection, social safety net programs, and working conditions.
