Outreach Event 

On May 7th and 8th, 2008, officials from the U.S. Department of Labor will conduct town hall meetings at the Holiday Inn Dayton Mall in Miamisburg, Ohio. Representatives will present details about a new class of former employees of the Mound Plant, recently added to the Act’s Special Exposure Cohort, as well as an overview of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act’s Parts B and E.  

The Department’s Resource Center staff will be available at the town hall meetings for extended periods of time to assist individuals with filing claims under the EEOICPA and representatives from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health will also be in attendance to provide information.

On May 14, 2008, officials from the U.S. Department of Labor will conduct town hall meetings at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott in Windsor, Connecticut.  Representatives will present details about a new class of former employees of the Combustion Engineering Site recently added to the Act’s Special Exposure Cohort, as well as an overview of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act’s Parts B and E. 

The Department’s Traveling Resource Center staff will be available at the town hall meetings for extended periods of time to assist individuals with filing claims under the EEOICPA and representatives from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health will also be in attendance to provide information.
