THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY CHARGES:
COUNT 1:
At all times material to this Information:
1. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), Local 200,
Unit 62 was a labor organization in an industry affecting commerce within the meaning of 29 U.S.C.
§§402 (i) and (j).
2. The defendant, JAMES JACKSON, was the treasurer of ILWU Local 200, Unit
62.
3. Between on or about January 22, 2003 and continuing thereafter until on or
about January 26, 2004, in Ketchikan, Alaska, within the District of Alaska, the defendant, JAMES
JACKSON, being an officer of a labor organization, to wit: ILWU Local 200, Unit 62, did embezzle, steal,
and unlawfully and willfully convert to his own use, moneys and funds of said labor organization in the
approximate amount of $12,934.50 in violation of Title 29, United States Code §501(c).
