Outreach Event

On July 7 and 8, 2009, DOL’s Traveling Resource Center will visit Kayenta, Arizona.  Representatives will be available to help individuals interested in filing claims under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA).  

The EEOICPA was created to assist those individuals who became ill as a result of working in the atomic weapons industry.  Survivors of such individuals may also be eligible for benefits. 

Representatives will also explain how certain Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) Section 5 uranium miners, uranium millers, and ore transporters may qualify for federal compensation and medical benefits under Parts B and E of the EEOICPA.
