Clear the Cache

The elaws pages may require regular refreshing each time you visit the FLSA Overtime Calculator. Therefore, your Internet browser should be set to refresh each time you visit the site. Doing this ensures that your browser will download the latest version of all data from the FLSA Overtime Calculator, instead of using previous information stored in your browser's cache. If you experience problems with this Advisor please make sure that you clear your cache.

The following are instructions to modify settings in Internet Explorer 6 to ensure the browser's cache is refreshed each time you visit the FLSA Overtime Calculator. (Please note that if you use a different browser or version, these instructions may be different):

In Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".  A window will appear similar to the window shown below at the left.

1. Select the button labeled "Delete Files..." (label 1 below).  A new window will appear.  Select the checkbox to "Delete all offline content" and select "OK"
2. Select the button labeled "Settings..." (label 2 below). Another window will appear similar to the window shown below on the right.
3. In the "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" section, select the option-button to "Every visit to the page" (See label 3 below)
4. Select the "OK" button (label 4 below ) which will return you to the original window shown below at the left.
5. Select the "OK button" (label 5 below), which will return you to your browsing window in Internet Explorer.
