State Law or Federal Newborns’ Act - Which Law Applies to the Benefits Provided Under Your Health Plan?
Many states have enacted their own version of the Newborns’ Act for insured coverage. In these states, state law can govern in lieu of the federal requirements. Federal law does require certain disclosures even if state law governs the coverage requirements of your plan.
