The Department of Labor (DOL) developed the elaws Advisors
to help employees and employers understand their rights and responsibilities under
numerous Federal employment laws. Each Advisor includes links to more detailed information
that may be useful to the user, such as links to regulatory text, publications and
organizations.
This Advisor will help you determine the posters that must be displayed in your workplace. Since the posters required for a specific business establishment depend on such
factors as the nature and location of the business, the number of employees,
annual dollar volume, and whether the business has Federal contracts or
subcontracts, the Advisor will ask you a series of questions. The Advisor will evaluate your responses, and provide a list of
posters you must display and an opportunity to print them.
However, there are some
situations where the Advisor may not be able to make a conclusive determination, or cases
where you may wish to speak with a DOL representative about a particular issue. In order to
assist you in these cases, the Advisor provides DOL contact information for each poster.
