U. S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
Employees’ Compensation Appeals Board
____________
In the Matter of KATHY R. BEEBE, claiming as widow of RICHARD R. BEEBE
and U.S. POSTAL SERVICE, MAIN POST OFFICE, Tampa, Fla.
Docket No. 96-1430; Submitted on the Record;
Issued July 21, 1998
____________
DECISION and ORDER
Before GEORGE E. RIVERS, DAVID S. GERSON,
MICHAEL E. GROOM
The issue is whether appellant has met her burden of proof in establishing that her husband’s suicide on February 14, 1993 was causally related to his February 23, 1989 back injury for which he received compensation.
The Board has given careful consideration to the issue involved, the contentions of appellant on appeal, and the entire case record. The Board finds that the August 1, 1995 decision of the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs’ hearing representative is in accordance with the facts and the law in this case and, therefore, adopts the findings and conclusions of the hearing representative.
The August 1, 1995 decision of the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs is affirmed.
