Office of Regulations and Interpretations
The Office of Regulations and Interpretations is headed by Director Robert Doyle, who reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Operations, Alan Lebowitz. The office plans, directs, and implements a program for the development and issuance of policies, regulations, opinions, and interpretation regarding the fiduciary, reporting and disclosure, and coverage provisions of ERISA. It also develops and implements a regulatory program to meet the requirements assigned to the Department by FERSA.
