Washington, DC - The Advisory Council on
Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans and its three working groups
will convene September 21-23, 2004, in Room N3437 A-C at the U.S.
Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC. |
The
plenary Advisory Council will meet September 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30
a.m. to discuss the progress of the working groups, suggestions for the
next National Summit on Retirement Savings, and to receive an update on
the activities of the Employee Benefits Security Administration. |
The
Working Group on Fee and Related Disclosures to Participants will convene
from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 21. The meeting of the Health and
Welfare Form 5500 Working Group will be held on September 22 from 10:30
a.m. to around 5:00 p.m. On September 23, the Working Group on Plan Fees
and Reporting on Form 5500 will convene from 10:30 a.m. until
approximately 5:00 p.m. |

The
ERISA Advisory Council consists of 15 members, appointed to staggered
three-year terms by the Secretary of Labor to provide advice on policies
and regulations affecting employee benefit plans sponsored by
private-sector employers. The members represent the general public,
employer and employee organizations and the fields of insurance, corporate
trust, investment management and investment counseling, accounting and
actuarial services. |
