Baton Rouge Home Health Company Officials Indicted For Pension Plan Fraud |
|
Baton Rouge-based Faith Home Health Care Services, Inc. officials were indicted by a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Louisiana for fraud involving Medicare reimbursements to the companys pension plan. According to the indictment, company president Paulette White Jackson and her daughter, Detra Tate Fairley, who was the companys vice president, received money from Medicare for purposes of funding the companys pension plan. They allegedly failed to forward the money to the pension plan. In addition, the defendants are charged with embezzling $8,000 for their own use and to pay business expenses in July, 1996. The July 21 indictments resulted from an investigation conducted by the U.S. Labor Departments Dallas Regional Office of the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General, Baton Rouge Field Office. The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana L. J. Hymel prosecuted the case. U.S. v. Paulette White Jackson and Detra Tate
