Secretary Perez delivers remarks at the Building and Construction Trades 2014 National Legislative Conference.
"The president's opportunity agenda is: if you work hard, and play by the rules, you have the opportunity to succeed," said Secretary Perez.
More than 1,000 listen to Secretary Perez's remarks.
"Building opportunity is about building strategic partnerships and you have written the book on that," said Secretary Perez.
Former President Bill Clinton, who also spoke to the organization, spent a few minutes speaking with Secretary Perez before going on to stage to deliver his speech.
