Participants at the conference included representatives from community organizations, organized labor, the faith-based community, educators, consulates, employer associations and others.

The one-day event was organized in cooperation federal OSHA’s Region IX counterpart state agency, the California Department of Industrial Relations' Cal/OSHA. Vicky Heza, Cal/OSHA’s Consultation Project Manager, talks to participants during one of the afternoon sessions.

The event featured several workshops. Participants and presenters networked to strengthen education and outreach efforts on safety, health and worker rights geared towards the Hispanic/Latino workforce.
