Section 5: Future of the IT Plan
The IT Strategic Plan will be reviewed annually. Modifications to the plan will reflect successes, difficulties and changing times. External factors as well as internal factors will obviously impact the IT strategy and its viability.
Between now and the next IT Strategic Plan revision submission, the Department intends to further IT Planning and IT Strategic Planning in the following four areas:
- IT Planning will be further operationalized through a Working Group
format and will further positively impact performance in key business
areas.
- Further strengthen the linkages between individual components of the
IT strategy (namely the IT Initiatives) with the Department Annual Performance
and Budgetary Review processes.
- Continue to enhance the manageability and measurability of
performance objectives in order to improve IT program management and IT
resource allocation decisions.
- Enhance consistency and standardization of IT program and IT
Initiative planning through the E-Governance system and linking into the IT
Strategic Plan.
