- Unemployment rates were higher for youth than for adults. The ratios of youth to adult unemployment rates were
highest in Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
- The smallest differences in the unemployment rates for youth versus those of adults were in Denmark and Germany.

and over age 14 or 15. Adults are defined as persons ages 25 and over.
