Update:
An injunction related to the Taft-Hartley Act was discharged on Dec. 18, 2002, after a proposed contract was agreed to by negotiators from the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the shipping industry's Pacific Maritime Association. The Taft-Hartley injunction was issued to enable western ports to resume operations while both sides continued to negotiate.
