Deputy Under Secretary Ponticelli
Visits the Dominican Republic

Event photo.Deputy Under Secretary for International Affairs Charlotte M. Ponticelli was the guest of honor and keynote speaker at the project launch ceremony of the new USDOL-funded project "Combating Exploitive Child Labor through Education in the Dominican Republic: Phase II" on January 15th. The event was held in Santo Domingo. The project aims to eliminate the worst forms of child labor, especially in informal urban work and in tourist and beach areas of the Dominican Republic.

Deputy Under Secretary Ponticelli met with U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic P. Robert Fannin and that country's Secretary of Labor José Fadul.

On January 15th and 16th, Deputy Under Secretary Ponticelli visited project sites. More...
