Secretary Solis announces Better Work Project in Nicaragua

July 27-28, 2010 — US Secretary of Labor Hilda Solís announced DOL’s funding of a Better Work Project in Nicaragua. At meetings with high-level officials on July 27-28 in Managua, Better Work Nicaragua stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to actively participate in the upcoming program. National and international attendees, including Nicaraguan Minister of Labor Jeannette Chávez Gómez, shared their vision and expectations for successful implementation in anticipation of the project launch in early 2011.
