RECOGNITION

WHEREAS, for the past 100 years, the United States Department of Labor has fostered, promoted and developed the welfare of wage earners, job seekers and retirees of this country; and

WHEREAS, the United States Department of Labor has continually sought to make the American workplace safer, healthier and fairer for everyone; and

WHEREAS, working families of the city of Tulsa, have benefitted from the United States Department of Labor's efforts to assure work-related benefits and rights.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr., Mayor of the City of Tulsa do hereby recognize Monday March 4, 2013 as the

Centennial Anniversary of the United States Department of Labor

in this community, and encourage all of our citizens to join me in celebrating the centennial anniversary of the United States Department of Labor.
